*These soaps are handpainted with soap-specific paints. The paint on soaps is largely for decorative purposes. Some people keep their painted soaps just to look and smell pretty in their bathroom or on their dresser. If you want to actually wash your hands (!), here's what extensive testing by the 4 Sisters Soaps crew has found: Wet your hands and then rub on the unpainted parts of your soap. Enjoy!
